Our Store, Our Story

         Murray's Butcher Block is a family-owned and operated butcher shop proudly owned by Jeremiah and Pleasants Murray, alongside their sons, William and Bryson. Our family has been serving the Lowry City community with fresh, quality meats for more than 50 years.

 

         The Murray family legacy began with Murray's Grocery, a place where generations of customers relied on fresh, affordable meats and friendly hometown service. When the family grocery store closed in 2010 following the passing of Jeremiah's father, the community felt the loss. Customers traveled from miles away because they knew they could count on Murray's for quality products and honest prices.

          After the store closed, Jeremiah spent several years working in a local factory. Although grateful for the opportunity, his passion for serving the community and continuing his family's tradition never faded. After years of planning and prayer, Jeremiah and Pleasants took a leap of faith and opened Murray's Butcher Block, bringing back the old-fashioned neighborhood butcher shop that so many people had missed.

           Today, we proudly offer fresh, beef, pork, chicken, deli meats, and cheeses, sourced from reputable farms and trusted suppliers. Every steak is hand-cut, every pound of ground beef is freshly ground, and our meat case is stocked daily to ensure the highest quality for our customers.

         Located in the small town of Lowry City, Missouri (population approximately 700), we're committed to providing premium meats at prices families can afford. We believe everyone deserves access to fresh, high-quality food without breaking the bank.
